The Just in case Calendar!

If you’re thinking about/planning to move your wedding day due to Covid-19 . . .

Pause, postpone, don’t cancel!

You’ve no doubt seen the above or similar phrases being used on social media since the pandemic began, but now more than ever with the vaccines around the corner we really do have a better reason to not cancel! For some this could be the second, third or even fourth time you may have had to move your wedding date. You could be super chilled, nervous, practical or positive about how things are going to turn out, or maybe even all of the above! With everything that’s going on I don’t blame anyone for being sensible and deciding to move their date. You may be against it and want to hold your nerve or it could just be that you are thinking about it. Either way, I decided to create this page so I can put my availability all in one place for 2021 and 2022.

Keep in touch and keep your suppliers in the loop

Logistically it can be difficult to organise a wedding in the first place so I understand the idea of moving things may be difficult, but working closely with your suppliers will not only mean you get to keep the wedding of your dreams that you had planned with all these awesome people, but you are also massively helping keep these businesses alive by trying to keep them and their services! I really do want to be a part of your big day so I’d love to be included in any changes you have to make or are considering making :)

If you can – talk to your venue and always ask for multiple back up dates ….

….or new dates if you’ve decided you definitely want to move. Getting multiple dates, even if some of them are seemingly useless initially, really does give you more options. When speaking to couples that have already postponed, I have found all venues are different; some gave them limited options and some gave them multiple dates. It’s all circumstantial, so picking new dates can be tricky but sometimes just pressing your venue for a bit of flexibility can help and may be worth it, but I also understand availability for future dates will be super limited from all aspects of a wedding.

Smaller weddings

I’ve had the great pleasure of being able to shoot weddings both before Covid-19 and during 2020 when weddings were limited to 15 or 30 people and I have to say all the weddings were awesome! I was there from the morning and into the evening and it was so amazing to be out shooting weddings. I completely understand if you want your day to go ahead with weddings back to normal with large numbers but I thought I’d just leave my 2020 highlights blog link here in case you were thinking of planning to still go ahead but with smaller numbers if thats all the gov says we are allowed. As you can see smaller weddings can be awesome too! Smaller weddings / 2020 highlights blog.

It’s your day

I just want to add a little note to say, it’s absolutely your day and I know you guys can choose to do what you like. I make no assumptions about how anyone wants to choose to celebrate their special day. My hope is that you still want me to be a part of it and more than anything this is just a simple page to quickly keep you updated on my availability. My positive head tells me everything is going to look so much better by the very end of March and we can all celebrate and party! It could even be the case you move your date to September and then end up moving it back to May, who knows?! I’m here for you guys so just give me a shout if you want to chat!

My Availability/Unavailability

Below is all of my calendar for the rest 2021 and 2022 starting from this April. I decided to put it all on here so I can keep it updated regularly, but also as a place you can check without having to email me back and forth too many times. Things are happening so fast so please double check with me via email/phone before confirming everything – but at least this way you can rule out/include certain dates a little quicker. This year is very different to the last so I’m super positive everything will all be fine!
